While it is true that real estate investments always have some element of risk to them, there is still hope of earning a decent return from capitalizing on the marketýs downtrend. Purchase a property cheap, earn perpetual income from renting it out, then after a few years, once the market recovers and prices climb back up, sell the property for a profit.
